Dr. Whitney Oakley is the fifth superintendent of Guilford County Schools (GCS), serving more than 68,000 PK-12 students and 10,000 employees at 126 schools. Dr. Ayindé Rudolph
Dr. Rudolph has been the Superintendent since 2015. Previously, he served as Associate Director of School Transformation at the Buffalo Promise Neighborhood, a federally funded program, modeled after the Harlem Children’s Zone that encourages communities to develop public-private partnerships.

Kirk Shrum
Kirk Shrum has been serving as superintendent of Visalia Unified School District since May 16, 2022. Mr. Shrum was appointed superintendent by the VUSD Board of Education on March 8, 2022, after a rigorous nationwide search. Mr. Shrum brings over 25 years of educational and administrative leadership experience to his role of superintendent.
