She previously led Bledsoe County Schools, where, under her leadership, the district was recognized as one of twelve Exemplary Districts in Tennessee, and four of its five schools earned Reward School status.

A seasoned educator and leader, Sparkman has also served as an Adjunct Leadership Coach at Austin Peay State University and held roles across multiple Tennessee districts, including Memphis City and Millington Municipal Schools. Her work reflects a deep commitment to improving student outcomes, supporting educators, and fostering strong community partnerships.
