Dr. Todd Anthony Walker is Superintendent of Richland County School District One in Columbia, South Carolina, a position he assumed in July 2025. A passionate advocate for all students, Dr. Walker brings more than 25 years of experience as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, chief officer, and superintendent.

Most recently, he served as Chief Curriculum and Instruction Officer for Columbus City Schools — the largest school district in Ohio — where he led all teaching and learning offices. He began his career in 2000 as a high school English teacher and went on to earn his B.A., M.A. in English Education, and Ed.D. in Education Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University, as well as a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School.

Dr. Walker was selected unanimously by the Richland One Board of School Commissioners from a field of 42 applicants across 12 states.
