Dr. Courtney Morawski

Superintendent of Granbury ISD

Dr. Courtney Morawski joined Granbury ISD as Superintendent in January 2025, bringing over 20 years of educational leadership experience. A Texas native, she previously served as Assistant Superintendent at Fayetteville Public Schools in Arkansas, where she led curriculum development and leadership initiatives that significantly improved student outcomes.

Her career includes administrative roles in districts serving 10,000-35,000 students, with experience as an Executive Director in Bentonville School District and Director of Professional Learning in Fort Smith. Dr. Morawski began as a teacher and assistant principal in Mansfield ISD before becoming an elementary principal in Judson ISD.

Dr. Morawski holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, with additional degrees from UT Tyler and UT Arlington. She actively participates in educational leadership organizations and was selected unanimously by the Granbury ISD Board from a competitive field of candidates.

She and her husband Terry, superintendent of Fort Smith Public Schools, have two college-aged sons—Jackson, a recent computer science graduate, and Lane, who studies accounting.
